Millions will rejoice this holiday season with the much-anticipated release of Andrea Bocelli's My Christmas. The first-ever Christmas recording from Andrea is a heart-warming collection of seasonal favorites produced by the legendary David Foster. The lush, beautiful arrangements alongside Bocelli's unmistakable soaring vocals make this a must-have holiday recording. Highlights include "White Christmas," "Oh Holy Night," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," "Jingle Bells," "Silent Night," "The Christmas Song," and "What Child Is This" among others. My Christmas will also be a major component of a PBS Great Performances special to air on Public Television this December, featuring Andrea and David Foster with additional special guests.

For the first time during his historic career the world's best selling tenor Andrea Bocelli will be releasing a collection of his greatest hits. The CD will feature selections from the Bocelli repertoire and include "Time To Say Goodbye" in duet with Sarah Brightman from the 4 time platinum selling Romanza CD, "The Prayer" in duet with Celine Dion from the 2 time platinum selling Sogno CD, plus Bocelli favorites "Because We Believe" from his most recent platinum recording Amore, "Melodramma" from Cieli Di Toscana and more. The release will also feature 4 new exclusive recordings: A duet with one of the world's most popular pianists Lang Lang and new David Foster compositions.

There will be a nationally televised concert special airing on PBS - Andrea's first full pop concert that was recorded in July with the Tuscan country side as a backdrop. The concert repertoire includes all the songs the will be on the forth coming Greatest Hits CD and features guests Chris Botti, Kenny G, Lang Lang and more. Look for PBS to broadcast this program multiple times during their upcoming December 2007 pledge period reaching over 10 million households.

At Home With Friends is inspired by Joshua Bell's fondness for hosting informal musicales in his Manhattan home. Join the Grammy Award-winning violinist as he celebrates the many musical friendships he has made over the years - a diverse group of artists sharing their love of music in an intimate setting. Features vocal and instrumental duets with Chris Botti, Sting, Josh Groban, Kristin Chenoweth, Regina Spektor and many others.

To commemorate the Mendelssohn bicentennial in 2009, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, pianist Emanuel Ax, and violinist Itzhak Perlman collaborated together for the first time and recorded the Mendelssohn Piano Trios. This is the first chamber recording these three virtuosos have recorded together. Yo-Yo Ma is a world-renowned, multiple Grammy Award-winning cellist and is currently celebrating his 30th anniversary with Sony Masterworks.

In July of 2008, on the slopes of Andrea Bocelli's home town, Lajatico, a rural village in Tuscany, a special theater was constructed for a one-night-only concert of his greatest popular hits along with new songs performed to honor the occasion. Some famous musical friends dropped by and the magical result is Andrea Bocelli--Vivere--Live in Tuscany. Bocelli Vivere Live In Tuscany is the first US blue-ray release for Andrea Bocelli.

To the vocal lines of arias and duets, Bach composed gorgeous violin passages. In Bach: Violin & Voice, Hilary Hahn records these passages exquisitely, sharing this album with soprano Christine Schäfer and baritone Matthias Goerne, both also renowned Bach exponents. Selections from such masterpieces as the St. Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor are rendered with an unearthly beauty and a reverence that add to this recording's historical significance In truth, this album features not two but three singers--the magical tone from Hahn's Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume conveys a beauty which can be attributed to a golden voice.

Ennio Morricone is well-known to moviegoers. His soundtracks for <I>The Mission, <I>The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, <I>Once Upon a Time in America, Cinema Paradiso, and others are invariably warmly melodic and superbly suited to the films they grace. They not only add atmosphere; they help tell the story. For this CD Morricone has created new orchestrations for many of his scores, adding a solo cello part for the indefatigable Yo-Yo Ma, whose musical curiosity seems to be endless. Outside the films, these pieces tend to be lovely melodies, mostly pretty sentimental stuff, and, in the best way, gorgeous aural wallpaper. The most moving are the two selections from The Mission, but fans of Morricone's music will find plenty to enjoy here. Ma's playing, as always, is exquisite---warm, deeply felt (given the circumstances), and entirely idiomatic within the context. Perhaps not quite for the classical music lover, but an affectionate reworking of music by an important film composer. <I>--Robert Levine
